Overboard is a native app for browsing 4chan and other imageboards on iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac, Apple Watch, Vision Pro, and Windows. It features a modern interface, fast media browsing, offline thread storage, iCloud sync, and comprehensive on-device safety filters. The app does not host any content and only provides access tools for third-party communities.

Yes, you must be at least 18 years of age to use Overboard. This is enforced through an End User License Agreement that you must accept before using the app.

Premium is an optional subscription that unlocks additional features:

• Archive browser for accessing archived threads
• Advanced theme customization
• Media collections
• Extended backup options

The core browsing experience is free. Premium is for power users who want extra functionality.

Subscriptions are managed through Apple. To cancel:

1. Open Settings on your device
2. Tap your Apple ID at the top
3. Tap Subscriptions
4. Select Overboard and tap Cancel Subscription

You must cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid being charged for the next period.

Yes. You can subscribe securely with Stripe using a private passkey account with no Overboard email signup, or an email account. You can also use the manual payment request form for PayPal, Cash App, or Bitcoin, which currently requires an email for verification. In the app, sign in with the same passkey or email; no activation or promo code is required.

Overboard keeps reading activity local by default and does not sell data, serve behaviorally targeted ads, or use third-party behavioral analytics. Some optional and security-critical features process limited data:

• The proxy processes an app-generated identifier, platform and version, access token, and IP-derived abuse-prevention data.
• Optional notifications store a push token and only the notification choices or watch criteria you submit.
• Purchases, activation, cloud sync, feedback, safety reports, and manual payments use the data needed for those requested features.

History, favorites, and settings remain on your device unless you enable a cloud-sync feature or create an export. See the Privacy Policy for exact categories and retention.

When iCloud Sync is enabled in settings, your bookmarks, history, hidden posts, tags, and settings sync across all your devices signed into the same iCloud account. This uses Apple's secure iCloud infrastructure. You can disable this at any time, and manage your data through your iCloud settings.

Overboard has comprehensive content filtering:

• On-device ML - Automatic moderation using CoreML models for NSFW and toxic content
• Keyword filters - Block posts containing specific words
• Regex filters - Advanced pattern-based filtering
• Tripcode filters - Block specific tripcodes
• User blocking - Block individual users
• NSFW blur - Blur sensitive images until you choose to reveal them

Access these in Settings > Content Filtering.

You can save threads for offline access by tapping the bookmark icon and selecting "Save Offline." Saved threads are stored locally on your device and can be accessed without an internet connection. You can also batch export threads as JSON or HTML files.

To report content:

• Long-press on a post to access the context menu
• Select "Report" to flag the post
• You can also block the user from the same menu

Note: Overboard does not host content. Reports are directed to the appropriate third-party services.

Overboard offers extensive customization:

• Themes - Dark, Light, or System automatic
• Accent colors - 14+ colors to choose from
• Custom themes - Create your own color schemes (Premium)
• Font scaling - Adjust text size to your preference
• App icons - Multiple icon variants (Light, Dark, Neon, Retro, Gold, etc.)
• Holiday effects - Optional seasonal visual effects
